Leading the Ec-lectricity Presents charge will be Tech House titan James Zabiela, alongside the indefinable outfit behind one of this year’s biggest dance floor bangers yet, Get Out Of My Head – Redlight. Also announced today, the House stage will offer up anthem after dance anthem from world-renowned purveyors of the finest party songs around. One of the brightest new lights on the house

“I’m really looking forward to playing this awesome festival... It will be my first time so GlobalGathering fans better get ready to get their socks rocked off… See you soon!”

Joining Romero is Tommy Trash. The larger-than-life personality famed for his riotous live shows is a self-confessed mixing machine, with his work being given the nod by the likes of Armand Van Helden, Moby, Steve Aoki and Swedish House Mafia vs. Knife Party. Also on the bill and keeping the energy in the House arena high will be banana and champagne loving Swedes Dada Life – sure to stay true to their motto “Big tunes, no frills.” R3hab and Rob Guson complete the bill.

With plenty more surprises up its sleeves for 2012, GlobalGathering will be continuing its tradition of upping its offering and improving the experience year-on-year – developing the festival layout, bringing audiences the best in new electronic music first, offering up staggering new production concepts and comprehensive lineups.

THE WEEKEND OF A LIFETIME AWAITS AT T IN THE PARK 2012

MORE ACTS ADDED AS THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS

TICKETS ONSALE NOW AT WWW.TINTHEPARK.COM

As anticipation builds for the weekend of a lifetime at T in the Park 2012, festival organisers DF Concerts and founding partner Tennent’s Lager have added more 'must see' acts to the already incredible line-up. The Blackout, We Were Promised Jetpacks, Vukovi, St. Lucia, Broken Hands and James Levy and the Blood Red Rose are all heading to Kinross over the weekend of 6th – 8th July.

As well as an ultra impressive bill of some of the biggest bands and best breakthrough acts on the planet, T in the Park 2012 has all the ingredients to be the hottest weekend of the summer. At the heart of the festival with an atmosphere second to none is the legendary campsite, which opens its gates on the Thursday to kick off the ultimate four-day weekend. Healthy T is a chilled haven where fans can refuel with the finest fresh festival cuisine, relax with a massage or soak up the sun on the picnic benches. Refresh offers glamour puss facilities galore, with a pamper parlour that’s equipped with mirrors, hair dryers and straighteners, plus posh flushing loos and a luxurious salon-standard hair washing facility. Those looking for luxury living at T in the Park can camp in style in The Residence, with a range of boutique accommodation options available at www.tinthepark.com/residence.

Currently in the studio recording their fourth album, The Blackout are still flying high from the success of their 2011 album Hope. With their headline slot on the Kerrang! Tour earlier this year proving their credentials as a phenomenal live act, The Blackoutare set to deliver an epic festival performance at T in the Park 2012.

We Were Promised Jetpacks will also be making a welcome appearance in Kinross this July. The Glasgow-based foursome have had an incredible year so far, which has seen them release their critically acclaimed second album In the Pit of the Stomach, embark upon a worldwide tour, and deliver a blow-away debut performance at this year’s Coachella festival. The boys also won the Scottish Alternative Music Award for Best Live Act in March, and fans can see why at T in the Park this summer.

Troon four-piece Vukovi describe themselves as ‘a fight between Skunk Anansie and Rage Against the Machine.’  Vukovi burst on to the scene when their debut track Get Hot and Feel the Butterflies was championed on BBC Radio 1 and since then the band have gone from strength to strength with rave reviews for the hugely successful twin EPs It Looked So Good On Me… and But I Won’t Wear It Again. It’s going to be a special moment when these Scottish treasures play on home turf at T in the Park this summer.

Singer Janine Shilstone, Vukovi said: "T in the Park last year was one of the best weekends of my life, but performing at it this year has just changed that as that will top it! I don't think there's an audience anywhere else in the world that can top the crowd at T in the Park."

Brooklyn-based St. Lucia, aka producer Jean-Philip Grobler, brings the tribal sounds of his native South Africa together with edgy pop to create his truly unique sound, as showcased in his astounding self-titled debut EP. Earning comparisons to Empire of the Sun and fellow T in the Park act The Temper Trap, St. Lucia will bring his soaring, dance-tinged beats to the festival stage this summer.

Critically acclaimed newcomers Broken Hands became the first signings to Analogue Enhanced Digital Records after wowing the label’s founders James Endeacott and Edwyn Collins (of Orange Juice fame). Their alternative blend of blues-infused indie is wowing crowds across the UK and they’re sure to receive a rapturous reception as they make their T in the Park debut

James Levy and the Blood Red Rose brings his lush melodies to T in the Park, fresh from the release of his smouldering debut album Pray To Be Free, produced by Guy Berryman of Coldplay fame. A romantic collection of jaunty pop songs and bruised ballads, the album has been widely praised by critics, and his set is sure to be hugely adored by T in the Parkers this summer.

A phenomenal mix of some of the world’s biggest bands and best breakthrough talent will wow 85,000 music lovers per day across the weekend of 6th – 8th July at T in the Park 2012. We had the chance to catch up with Bionic, a new face in our local music scene, but you will be hearing lots from this guy soon. We caught up with him and asked a few questions so you can all get to know him a bit better, who would of thought he was a Justin Bieber fan hey? Didn't see that one coming!! We will be chatting to Bionic later in the year too on MVTV, watch out for it, in the meantime, get to know this fantastic young artist a little more!

When did you first start getting in to music?
I first starting getting into music at the age of 11/12. I started of as a producer but took up bieng a rapper/singer as well. Things only took off about a year ago.

Who are some of your biggest influences?

Biggest influences? Wow I have to many to mention but i would say Labrinth, The gorillaz, Tinie tempah and Micheal Jackson are some of many!

What has been the best part of your career so far and why?

Its hard to say what has been the best part of my career because everyday is a better day but the most inspirational part of my career was touring the UK in December; words can't describe that feeling!

At just 18 you have already toured and supported acts like Tinie Tempah and Professor Green, how did that happen?

To be honest, all the gigs i have had from supporting/touring with Jason Derulo, Professor Green, Tinchy Stryder and touring the UK have all been sorted and organised by me. Lets just say that hardwork pays off, it may not be instantly but later it will.

Who would you most like to collaborate with on a future track?

Labrinth, Kanye west, Ellie Goulding, Tinie Tempah just to name a few!

What’re the top 3 tracks you’re listening to at the moment?

Top 3 tracks? Wow ermm i would say Labrinth - Express Yourself, Calvin Harris - Lets Go and Rita Ora ft Tinie Tempah - R.I.P.

Most embarrassing song on your ipod?

Hmm Justin Bieber - Boyfriend? Actually i like the tune a lot to be honest haha!

What’s next for you? What’re your music plans?

My plan is to release my single this year aswell as my E.P , E.P tour later this year. Starting work on my debut album towards the end of this year too. There are too many things to mention at the minute, I have some crazy ideas which I can't wait to show you.

If you were to produce another genre of music which would you pick?

I'm a musician with a music blender: expect surprises!

Which has been your favourite gig/festival to play so far and why?

My favourite gig was when i supported Jason Derulo in newcastle. The amount of love I got especially from Jason derulo himself.. flattered.

What advice have you got for other people wanting to get involved with Music?
Be Yourself, work/collab with all genre's, but be very Humble and determind. Here is my saying - Your the author, you write your script: Hardwork Pays off!

Music Vibe is a community project which gets young people involved in music and media and gives them opportunities which they wouldn't normally get the chance to do. Why do you think projects like this are good for young people?
It gives you that extra edge adding another platform/dimention to your musical minds.

Wakestock’s back this year and bringing the elements of wakeboarding and the sea into the usual festival expectations, of; portaloos tents and relatively smelly inhabitants of those tents, once again. In case you still haven’t checked out the line-up there’s a lot to look forward to as always.

Okay so headlining the West stage we’ve got Calvin Harris Dizzee Rascal and Ed Sheeran, on the Friday Saturday and Sunday respectively. Calvin Harris is always a safe bet to watch he puts on a good show and with the (somewhat) recent release of feel so close andbounce we’re almost certain to be treated to some new material. Dizzee has been pretty quiet of late and hasn’t done anything massive since he released Tongue N’ Cheek last year so once again I’d be sorely disappointed if we don’t hear at least a few new tracks (He’ll be worth seeing just to hear something new from him!) Finally on the west stage is Ed Sheeran. I think it’s safe to say that Ed Sheeran is always going to be a big addition to any festival and Wakestock will be no exception. Other acts I would recommend checking out are; Benjamin Francis Leftwich, adding to the ever growing folk music scene (and with a very apt name for such a genre) Benjamin has followed the likes of Mumford and sons et al in the sense that he’s bringing his folk music into current chart and pop music. Critically acclaimed potty mouth (but damn good rapper) Azaelia Banks is also making an appearance and of course everyone will expect to hear the devilishly catchy 212 along with, hopefully, some new material. Rizzle Kicks are also putting in a set and having a debut album out and some impressive pop tracks making it into the charts they’ll be a good addition to the festival.

Then there’s the East stage, Flux pavilion headline the Friday and he’s been pretty busy over the last year or so. He got especially big after the release of bass cannon and as the only act currently announced for the East stage on Friday I predict one of two things; an extra special set from him that will absolutely blow your socks off (to be honest I’d expect that of him anyway) OR the “special guests” are going to be an exciting surprise. Either way with the mixture of Flux pavilion and the mystery special guests The East stage looks more than a little bit exciting. The official headliner on Saturday is Annie Mac but it would be wrong to say she is the main person to see through the day when we consider that there is also a live set from DJ Fresh, and Ms Dynamite-ee-ee. Annie Mac we all know is a fantastic Dj and I’m sure she’ll live up to the expectations of her. Ms Dynamite is the real figure of interest, if you ask me, staging some sort of a comeback with Wakestock I would expect some possible new tracks along with the classics we know her for so if you fancy a massive nostalgia trip then she’s the one to see. On Sunday, Wakestock have, again, employed the element of mystery by so far only announcing that All American Rejects will be performing but once again All American Rejects are reason enough to go and see the set without considering the suspense of finding out who the surprise guests are and why they have been kept a secret.

Finally the South stage we’ve got High contrast, Jakwob, Doctor P and Redlight. Lincoln Barrett, better known as High Contrast, will be sure of a warm welcome here considering it’s somewhat of a homecoming (yeah he’s Welsh). The south stage seems much more devoted to the likes of drum and bass and dubstep than anything else, two genres which are most definitely making their way into mainstream pop music with producers like Jakwob and Doctor P, both of whom will be appearing on the Saturday. Doctor P representing the chart music portion of dubstep whereas Jakwob is more of a representative for the “die hard” dubstep fans (these people really know their dubstep).

Of course this is only a selection of the lineup but it’s safe to say it looks incredible and we haven’t even started on the atmosphere that comes with Wakestock every year. Regardless In this reviewer’s eyes Wakestock is a must see festival and you’d be mad to miss out on it.

Says Back to the Phuture mainman Mark Jones: “It's great to be back at Bestival for a third year with Back to the Phuture and a truly amazing line up of inspiring artists. Tomorrow is Today.........Today is Tomorrow..... Bring the Noize!”

Also adding their not inconsiderable talents to our jam-packed bill of live musical cheer are the stunningly soulful Jesse Ware, self-described ‘motivational speaker with harmonious intentions’ Willis Earl Beal, rap-punk-ravers Murkage, super-distinctive microphone championSkepta, singer song-writer and soon-to-be superstar Jake Bugg, spine-tingling harmonisers Staves, duelling boy-girl vocalists Sunless 97, Brit-electro types The Other Tribe, Mancunians Parma Violets, Eastern European folk flavoured South Londoners Georgeous George, folk-punk four-piece Crowns, live freestyle breaks dons Subgiant and shoestring-popsters Daytona Lights. Plus there will be appearances from Charley MacaulayAlonestar and the Isle of Wight’s very own A Way Of Life and This Way Up.

Everyone in the Bestival Bunker is well excited about Parisian genius Brodinski coming to Bestival. A man after our own hearts Brodinski’s taste is as wide as our smiles when we’re reaching for the lasers at one of his gigs, covering filthy techno, bass heavy house and minimal vibes. You know you have to be there when he raises the roof! Anyone who knows their onions when it comes to dance music will know thatGilles Peterson is an utter legend on a quest to find the perfect beat and we’re jolly pleased that he’s taking his search to the Isle of Wight to exhibit his impeccable taste for all you lucky Bestivalites. And that’s not all, as Redlight will be navigating the space between house, bass music and beyond, smashing it up with his jet-propelled bangers, jungle pioneer Shy FX will be there in full effect, plus there will be deck wrecking action from Dalston doyens Gutterslut, glitchy Dubstepper Zomboy, cut and scratch monster Krafty Kuts, edit-genius Duff Disco, bhangra chief Sonnyji Presents Bang Bhang, cosmic disco dude Flying White Dots, and local boy done good Kaf-Tan.

We’re also delighted to announce that Bestival will be teaming up with Exit Festival to take part in the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF) Twin Festivals initiative. Deriving from the popular ‘twin towns’ concept the scheme aims to create a cultural exchange between the UKs leading independent festivals and their international counterparts and both festivals have plenty of ideas up their sleeves to benefit both artists and festivalgoers from Serbia and the Isle of Wight this summer.

Says Rob da Bank“I’m so pleased that we're twinning with Exit - my one visit there has stayed lodged in my festival brain as one of my favourite memories…playing records in an old fort to the most hedonistic party people this side of …well Bestival! So much energy, good vibes and great acts playing - hopefully something that we share with Exit at Bestival. Long may we be brothers and sisters in sound!”

Says EXIT General Manager Bojan Boskovic“We are so excited to be twinning with Bestival this year as we have watched it bloom from a wonderful ethos into one of the largest and most musically exciting festivals around! Bestival has a great energy, an immense and interesting line up and who can compete with the unique ideas and artwork each year. Exchanging acts and ideas, we also hope some of our followers will make the journey to Bestival and we look forward to welcoming Bestival fans to our crazy fortress”

To benefit local artists each festival has put forward acts to swap and play at each others events. The Playground Syndicate will play at EXIT and The Good Guys will play at Bestival. Each act will also blog about their experience playing at the twinned festival.

Hailing for the Isle of Wight, The Playground Syndicate are made up of 2 DJ’s (Elmo & Beavz) and the visual brilliance of the A.V Circus. These boys are seriously talented individuals and when they come together they are a mega force, twisting your mind with warped visuals, DJing with huge creative energy and reinventing the tunes they play within the mix.

DJ duo The Good Guys aka Bojan Cizmic and Andrija Kovac play a mixture of electronic folk, guitars and samplers with no boundaries and are rising stars in the Serbian underground electronic music scene.  With over 30 productions under their belt covering a range of styles from folk trash to nu rave the pair have broken out of their native Eastern Europe and are now playing gigs all over the world.

Twinned festivals will be sharing not only artists and expertise but also audiences, as 10 lucky competition winners will be given the chance to experience the twin festival in action.  And one lucky winner from each festival will also get the chance to win a trip to the twin festival with travel and accommodation for them and a mate. Announcements will follow on both festival websites in the coming months with more information and how to enter.

Now in its third year the AIF scheme has gone from strength to strength with participating festivals successfully building local awareness of their twins through cross press and marketing promotions. As well as sharing links on their websites, twinned festivals also include twinning information on flyers, marketing materials and in their PR campaigns to local media and once their own event has sold out help to market their international twin through their media channels.  Talent discussions have helped to co-ordinate bookings of international artists and further reinforce the fundamental values that unite the festivals.

Taking place from Thursday 12th – Sunday 15th July, in the magical Petrovaradin Fortress overlooking the river Danube, EXIT continues to deliver the most adventurous and value for money festival experience, with a diverse and cutting edge line up, cheap food and drink onsite and the best campsite entertainment whilst bathing in the hot Balkan sunshine.  Tickets are onsale now from only £95 for a 4 day festival pass.
