Music Vibe is a new community youth project which, since its development from last year under founder Dane Swindells, has persevered to allow opportunities to young and local people who would otherwise be overlooked in a competitive world. Music Vibe offers services such as putting on gigs, teaching young people with any interest in media key components like filming, editing and design. Often teaming up with other local organizations, such as Macclesfield’s Silk 106.9, Music Vibe puts on local events that allow young people to show off their talent, and gain that all important experience they need to succeed.

Our website is a new and innovative way of promoting, listening and sharing music. The website allows users to sign up and start promoting themselves and their music. It doesn't matter how big or small you are as an individual or group we will endeavour to help everyone.

One of our aims is to help people who wouldn’t usually be able to get a chance at producing, promoting or creating music. We aim to achieve this by working closely with schools and local organisations in Cheshire. Unlike many similar schemes, Music Vibe is not motivated by profit, but by handing opportunities to young people through its work in local areas, as we feel that not enough is done to allow provision for them.


How do we do this?

Music Vibe works closely with some of the local music organizations and venues in the Cheshire & Manchester areas. By putting on regular shows and events, not only do we allow our members to showcase their talent to their followers, we are able to ensure a simple way of putting on a great show. All members can access events directly from the website, and even interact with the acts they’re going to see, as the Music Vibe adopts a rather ‘social network-esc’ template. Great news for the fans, great news for the artist! This approach is unique and innovative, and what make the Music Vibe project such an exciting prospect.

Furthermore, by gaining regular contact with the aforementioned Cheshire’s Silk 106.9, and other radio stations, artists are given air time for their music on the weekly show. This has a similar effect to playing regular gigs, our bands are starting to get huge local support! Musicians get a taste of what is required of them in the industry, as they come in to the studio and take part in a performance and interview.



None of this could be achieved without valuable support from local companies and organizations. Orange Rockcorps and We7 provide huge support for us, enabling Music Vibe to reward all of the relentlessly hard working volunteers who strive to make the project develop - A big thanks to them!

Our Volunteers.

If ever you’d want to volunteer for something, its Music Vibe! It’s may be work, but its fantastic fun at the same time. Along the way you will have the chance to meet some amazingly talented and inspirational people, (one of them could be yourself!) as you gain bags of knowledge concerning music and media. You could be given opportunities in event management, promotions, design, music production and much,much more! You will be working in an environment that is a realistic prestigious scenario, but at the same time we always have a great laugh along the way. You will meet a variety of people such as filming crew’s, professional interviewees and those from the music industry that you can not learn from their experiences, but work closely with. Having such contacts could put you in excellent stead for your future, as you look to pursue your own career. Music Vibe sends some of the best volunteers around the biggest events and festivals in the UK, last year we went to Global Gathering and met Labrinth and Chase and Status along the way, so do your best to impress us! Having been a helpful volunteer, we would also be able to provide you with a reference for a CV or Portfolio, again enhancing your future chances. Music Vibe is all about the future, and even our volunteers reap the rewards!
